We lost our sweet little Yorkie this morning at 8:23 am.
He had been acting strange on and off for about a week or so, and over the last several days -- despite visits to 3 different vets -- he got progressively worse. And no one could tell us what was wrong with him. He was lethargic. He was wobbly and limping. He would cry and whimper in pain for "no reason." He would jump and run around and then just stand in one place for hours. He even started having seizures.
I won't go into all the details -- much, much too sad -- but let's just say that somewhere along the way, we lost our Teddy.
And I'm not sure how much was really left of him this morning when Sean and I took him to the vet. But we told Teddy how much we love him. We told him we were sorry we could not do anything to help him get better. We petted him. We gave him his favorite toy. And we sobbed.
And we miss him.
Goodbye, Teddy....
