A Paws-i-tively Grrrrreat Fundraiser!

My neighborhood is trying to raise money to build a common area/playground… something that hass been in the works for several years now. Since it’s such a dog-gone grrrrreat cause, Rowdy and Teddy thought they would jump in and help!


Now through Friday, November 13, 25% of sales from their Shure Pets orders will go to a special fundraiser! So check out the cat-a-log, and make your purrrrchases for your pets… or for those pet lovers in your life!

We will take orders in person, via phone and through e-mail (bethiswriting@yahoo.com). Or, you can hop on the website at beth.shopshurepets.com (Just be sure to use party #1793.)

Rowdy and Teddy are also doing a raffle for a special doggy basket with some paw-some Shure Pets products and homemade doggie treats! Tickets are only $2 each (or 3 for $5), and ALL proceeds from the raffle go to the fundraiser!

Not Gone... Just Busy

I haven't blogged much lately, 'cause there just haven't been enough hours in the day...or days in the week... etc., etc.
With that in mind, my latest task to keep me more busy than I need to be is joining our neighborhood event committee. Our first assignment is fund raising for our soon-to-be-constructed "common area" (a playground/pier/picnic area for the people in our little community).
We have a great group of ladies on the team, and we brainstormed a bunch of ideas the other night. Hopefully we're on the right track to success. But I, of course, welcome any ideas for neighborhood events, parties, fundraisers, etc.!
In the meantime, let me introduce the event committee:

Fun Run Funnies

Jaiden's school recently held a fundraiser that included a "fun run." She was so excited about raising money and winning little trinkets and prizes. She called and spoke to several people (neighbors and family, really) about sponsoring her... Then she ran 31 laps and raised about $225!
I thought I'd include a few pictures, just 'cause they are funny. The kids are doing all sorts of things: making faces, talking to each other, running, walking, giving high fives.... Well, I'll just let these shots speak for themselves!
