Christmas Cookie Swap -- #5

The fifth annual Christmas cookie swap party took place at our house recently, despite a lack of vim and vigor for the Christmas decorating this year... being 9 months pregnant and all! ;)
BUT, we all know, the cookie swap is about THE COOKIES! And there were a LOT of delicious ones, as usual!

There were also fun games, story swapping and munching on goodies.

Cookie swap "newbie," Susan, won for most festive display, with a gorgeous, decorative basket filled with wrapped cookies and Christmas ornaments; and The Alcazars -- again! -- won for most creative display, with their miniature Christmas tree decorated in Spritz cookie ornaments.

All in all, it was a Christmas cookie exchange success! (And we are STILL enjoying the benefits and rewards!)

Christmas Cookie Swap -- PART 4

Once again, I must say that a Christmas cookie swap party is pretty rockin' cool!
This year (the 4th annual cookie swap) was the biggest group ever, despite busy schedules and complaints about baking so many treats! Ha-ha! ;) Everyone took home loads of delicious cookies -- including, but not limited to: some Christmas tree cookies, chocolate truffles, coconut macaroons and "snowman poop."
Merry Christmas ... and happy munching, everyone!

C is for Christmas Cookie

Thanks to everyone who participated in the 3rd annual Christmas Cookie Swap Party at our home this past Sunday! We had a fun group of old and new friends... and an incredible amount of delicious (and beautiful) cookies! YUM!
Congratulations to Brittany (a first-time swapper!) for her win for the "most festive Christmas cookie display" ... and to the Alcazars who won a prize for creating a very unique cookie display... a Christmas tree cookie farm!

2nd Annual Christmas Cookie Swap Success

I love Christmas. And I love Christmas cookies. And I also love the opportunity to share good times with great friends! So thanks to all my friends and fellow cookie bakers who made this year's Christmas cookie swap party a success!
There were some old faces (not old as in age, but old as in they came last year!) and some new ones as well! And after laughing so hard that I cried and eating so much junk food that I got dizzy, I realized just how many wonderful cookies I got to pack away in freezer bags and food containers. YUM! I can't promise that they'll last until Christmas, though...
